Improving your resume:

Choosing how to present your resume to a potential employer is crucial.  If you feel that your resume is being overlooked, try these suggestions -

1.       It's all about the keywords:  If you're applying to a job posting, make sure that your resume reflects the content in the posting.  For example, if you're a developer applying to an XML Developer posting, make sure that your XML experience stands out in your resume.

2.       Words vs Descriptions:  Some resumes list every task that an individual has performed in previous positions.  Other resumes have descriptions that summarize past accomplishments.  Try experimenting by creating 2 resumes, one for each style, and see if it makes a difference in how often employers call you back.
